David Watts grew up in Texas, thus the scattered references throughout this work to the characteristics of the terrain and subtle tonalities that capture the personalities of the people there. His literary credits include seven books of poetry, two collections of short stories, a mystery novel, a best-selling western and several essays. He has received awards in academics, medical excellence, television production and for the quality of his writing.
